Risk Management Plans

Based on our collective 55 years of experience in the water treatment industry, and background in mechanical engineering, we are well qualified to conduct risk assessments on cooling systems and associated plant and equipment. We base our Risk Management Plans on the Victorian Dept of Health format, which is one of the most comprehensive in Australia. We can advise on any recommendations that may have been made within the Risk Management Plan and assist you with any compliance advice that may be required.

Cooling & Boiler Water Treatment Audits

Our comprehensive experience and knowledge of cooling tower and boiler water treatment programs comes to the fore when compiling audit reports for our clients. When commissioned to perform an audit, we will provide you with an unbiased and independent review of your current water treatment program. The audit will also review your control equipment, adherence to regulatory guidelines, Workplace Health and Safety directives and benchmark water chemistry.

Micro-biological Sampling & Analysis

Adding to our current sampling of non-cooling related systems, we provide third party sampling, analysis (via a NATA registered laboratory), and reporting in accordance with AQIS, WH&S or environmental requirements.

The experience we have in all facets of water treatment places us above and beyond the current third-party samplers servicing the market. We understand the chemistry. We understand the systems.

The sampling and analysis service is essential for legionella detection in accommodation, aged care, and medical facilities. Legionella bacteria can be present in hot and cold water tanks, and showers and taps. Legionella in these situations can increase the risk of infection to guests, residents and staff. Regular testing will minimise the risk.

Chemical Cleans

For over two decades we have been performing chemical cleans on both boiler and cooling systems. Deposition can take the form of inorganic mineral build up or organic biomass growth, both of which can significantly retard heat exchange. i.e., 3mm of mineral scale will reduce heat transfer by 12% which corresponds to an increase of energy consumption. Under deposit corrosion can also be an issue where the system corrosion inhibitors are blocked from protecting the base metals by the deposits.

Cooling Tower Cleaning

A regular high-pressure cleaning of cooling towers is a regulatory requirement especially for the control of bacteria and legionella in the cooling tower systems. Regular cleaning of the equipment will assist in maintaining the efficiency of the system to extend the serviceable life of the system. Our highly experienced cleaning department will high pressure clean your tower, remove and clean air intake louvers and drift eliminators, inspect the nozzles and water flow components, inspect and clean strainers and float valves. We provide you with a detailed report and any recommendations required for the efficient and effective operation of your cooling tower.
